LIGHT SHOWER By Bruce Munro

Bruce Munro installed Light Shower in the ancient Salisbury Cathedral in late November 2010. It is made of 1984 strands of optic fibre, each one tipped by a 'Teardrop' diffuser.

It took Bruce and his team five days to install. Once the testing process was complete, Light Shower was switched on for the first time during the Darkness into Light procession to mark the start of Advent at Salisbury Cathedral.

Though ethereal, Light Shower covers a massive area 10m x 10m x 7m.
It took 400 man hours to make it, and 232 man hours to install.
Light Shower is powered by 8 x 150 watt metal halide projectors.
